Hi Dan, One of my ambitions now that I'm in a new environment, is to try some fun on location drawings and watercolors like you! I like how your work gives a peak into your life and surroundings! Complications and change can be good.

The idea of writing about all sorts of art topics is kind of daunting. I still have to overcome the "who am I to talk of these things?" I'll just have to jump in.

Thank you for the visit!

Well this it's an exciting development! Sorry to hear about the complications (I can relate) but I look forward too see what you do both in the art and the blog. I have always been enamored with faces. You are off to a running start. It is obvious that you already have a good sense of portraits from the three you have done.

Hi Carrie, Thank you! I hadn't thought of it before but the shell does resemble an Easter Lily. Isn't it interesting how forms are repeated throughout nature? I appreciate the visit and support!

I agree about the endless possibilities of shells, one of my favorite organic forms. Your shell here resembles an Easter Lily. Great drawing!

Hi Pam,
Thank you for stopping by! It's all about learning to "see", isn't it? Whether as a cartoonist, abstract artist, or whatever is that I do! Speaking of checking out, I need to see what you've been up to lately!

Peggy, I love your drawing and agree that your face is one of 'study'. That's a great way to look at it!
I'm excited to see your extended work in drawing from life.
I love the way you 'see'.

Thanks for the blog link. I'll check it out. It is a subject upon which I often ponder.
Thanks again!

Thank you Steve (said with an impish grin)! I would probably laugh the entire time I was drawing if I tried to do a portrait with a grin...maybe not a bad idea!

A reasonable facsimile thereof...however...that Peggy I know is not nearly so stern-looking. If you drew yourself with an impish grin...it would be much more believable!

Hi Dan, Thank you! It was such a nice surprise to be asked. Katharine Cartwright is in the first volume, along with many other fine artists. So, I was tickled to be asked! By the way, happy anniversary!
